PHOTOGRAPHY

Telling the Verve story.

Photography is more important than ever in helping us to tell our story and connect with our clients. It is the first impression that our potential clients get of Verve. Photography conveys emotion and adds perceived value – earning loyalty and trust.  The use of consistent photography across all platforms helps to create brand trust and recognition.

Our photography.

Our images should be professional, full of energy and vitality, and showing real people, objects and situations. This includes a mixture of candid shots of team members and carefully selected imagery from around the office. We avoid using ‘stock’ imagery as much as possible.

A few examples have been provided to show the type of photography that can be used and how the images can be presented.

Individual headshots.

Each team member has two different headshots. The headshot taken in front of the live wall should be used where possible. The background may be removed and placed on a white or light grey background for SME-style content (events, blogs etc).

Your headshot can also be used for LinkedIn profiles (please drop marketing a message here if you require your latest headshot).

In general there is a mix between those looking at the camera and those looking off to the side to add an extra dimension.

Using photography.

Candid photography can be cut-out and placed on coloured backgrounds and the leaf element can be applied in the background, or highlighting a particular element.

Images should be used in either circular or rounded rectangle frames. Images of people (headshot or candid) should not have the background removed unless this is required to create a new headshot (where an alternative is not available).

Alternatively, the leaf pattern can also be used as an overlay which ties together our graphic styles. This can should be done at large scale. Please see examples to the right.

Sourcing images.

Photography should be owned by Verve where possible, or stock photography sourced from attribution-free websites can be used as an alternative where abstract imagery is required, such as in blog posts or as event imagery. Stock imagery should never include other people. Photography used in both digital and print media should show real life situations and be bright, colourful and selected carefully for its purpose.

If sourcing appropriate stock photography, please use one of the following websites; Canva, Unsplash or Pexels. When selecting finance-related imagery, please ensure any currency is GBP.
