The grad scheme

It's not just for grads.

Our grad scheme is designed to support individuals to kick-start their career in financial services; whether that's in paraplanning, compliance, tech, marketing or business operations.

The logo.

The Grad Scheme logo is minimal, modern and clean.

Our logo is made up of a series of lines, each line from our home icon to our text has a consistent width to ensure visual balance.

Typography.

The Grad Scheme uses Lufga as it’s primary typeface as it is bold, modern and easy to read.

Poppins should always be used as the secondary typeface for large amounts of copy across web and print.

Colour palette.

The Grad Scheme uses a simple colour palette, primarily using coral and neutral accents.

The accent colours should be used sparingly for content relating to the specific roles in paraplanning, compliance, training and technology.

Graphic elements.

The geometric-based brand elements for The Grad Scheme consist of arrows and dots. The arrows should always be used in a set of 3 facing upwards, and can be used in any of the brand colours (and white).

The dots should always be used in a circle pattern, and can be used in any of the brand colours (and white). Both elements can be used in a range of transparencies.

When using the elements in relation to an individual job role, the matching colour should be chosen.

Both elements can be stacked “behind” imagery to create unique versions of The Grad Scheme headshots.

Photography.

Photography used for The Grad Scheme should where possible show real life situations and people. For example, these can be people studying or people working in their new job role. These should show positivity, fun, laughter and be uplifting.

Images should be in full colour and show a mix of individual photos and group situations.

Narrative.

Hey everyone! The Grad Scheme is how we entice young people into financial services. It’s a two year training course while working at Verve for young people, whether or not they have a degree.

In communications we try to be young, future focused, fun, energetic and positive. This has our youngest audience, and this should be reflected in the conversational language used. We also use lower-case for titles across both social media and our website.

The audience is young people looking to start their career in financial services, so who won’t necessarily understand any jargon or industry language. Keep things simple and explain anything that is not plain English. Be positive and inspirational, powerful and dynamic. We’re here to keep things interesting and humorous.

Social media.

The Grad Scheme’s social media posts should be fun, bright and engaging. They should show a mix of graphic elements, photography showing people enjoying their new role and bold typography.

Use the secondary colour palette for posts advertising specific roles.
